The VALDETTARO GROUP is made up of historic companies that have been operating in the maritime economy for decades. Dynamic and constantly expanding, today it is made up of 6 different companies, with a wide range of services: shipbuilding, port hospitality and accommodation facilities. Today the group has become a point of reference for the Tyrrhenian Sea, from Liguria to Sardinia, for the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of boats ranging from small wooden fishing boats to mega yachts of 100 m.

OUR HISTORY
The group was born in 1992 from the intuition of the Vanelo family, entrepreneurs from Massa Carrara in the marble sector and great enthusiasts of sailing and boating: with the acquisition of land in the Gulf of Fezzano, they created what is now the first floating green port in Italy, with 270 berths.
Ugo Vanelo, sailing world champion in 1988, supported his father Giorgio in the foundation and management of the companies throughout all his years of activity, up until the recent opening of the new shipyard in the Gulf of Olbia in 2022.

The creation of a green Marina in Fezzano
The Marina di Fezzano tourist port was born in an oasis of tranquility and peace with 270 berths, a restaurant and services dedicated to its guests.
1997
The rescue of historic Valdettaro shipyards
The family took over the Valdettaro shipyards and revived the tradition of shipwrights, building mooring and storage for larger boats
2010
Canaletti shipyard expands the group’s offering
The Canaletti shipyard was purchased in order to differentiate the shipbuilding offer and specialize in the refitting of motor boats.
2016
Tourist services with About Italy Holiday
About Italy was founded to expand the offer of services reserved for guests of the Marina del Fezzano and both shipyards, and for the management of apartments and rooms in the wonderful villages of Portovenere and Fezzano.
2022
Cala Saccaia shipyard opens in Sardinia
The new Cala Saccaia shipyard in the Gulf of Olbia comes to life from an investment of over 10 million euros with the dream of creating a hub for mega yachts integrated into the marvelous Sardinian nature.
